Welcome to the Garscadden Burn Medical Practice web

site

We are all working in the Practice on Friday 10th and Monday 13th April, we will triage all calls to the surgery but please do not attend in person, stay home and stay safe!   For all information relating to COVID-19 then log onto nhs.inform, information is updated regularly.

The surgery is still open but with reduced services.    During this pandemic patients have telephoned the surgery throughout the day and have had access to a GP.  We must now resume a timetable and  work towards a recovery plan for the practice. We therefore ask that if you require a telephone consultation then you MUST TELEPHONE AT 8AM as you did before.

IF you are to be seen in the surgery then please arrive at the appointed time and where possible on your own.  We have an intercom which will be answered by a member of staff who will ask you to put on a mask. This is for your own safety as well as the safety of the Practice Team.

WHEN YOU ORDER YOUR PRESCRIPTION ON THE ANSWERING MACHINE PLEASE INFORM US WHICH PHARMACY YOU USUALLY USE AND WE CAN SEND YOUR PRESCRIPTION THERE.   DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY TO PICK UP YOUR PRESCRIPTION  TELEPHONE US AND LET US KNOW WHICH PHARMACY YOU USE AND WE CAN SEND YOUR PRESCRIPTION TO THEM.

We are delighted to announce that from Wednesday 3rd August 2016 we will be a Training Practice. As a Training Practice we will have Specialist GP Trainee's working within the Practice.  As part of their ongoing education there may be occasions when they are required to video consultations for training purposes.  Patients will be informed in advance of this occurring and if they do not wish to take part their wishes will be respected.

Our current Trainee's are Dr Poppy Morgan and Dr Devina Brown who will be with us until August 2020. They will both see patients the same way as the other GP's.   We all wish them well in their final year as a trainee and are delighted to welcome them to join our team at Garscadden Burn Medical Practice.
